~THE FELINE SPIRIT of LIFE TRILOGY~
~LIONESS~
I am a lioness; I am intuitive wise courageous loving and strong
My instincts guide me to live my life purpose and rarely are they wrong
I devotedly feed, nurture and protect my cubs unwaveringly as they grow
But then, when the time comes to bid them goodbye I lovingly let them go
For in their freedom they find strength and discover their personal power
Dependence weakens them and from their courage allows them to cower
I need them not to care for me as I too am strong and I can stand alone
I am a strong independent feline; I am not a needy dependent crone
Would I dare ask them to give up their lives to nurse or care for me?
No, I would not, no way, no how; my spirit also deserves to be free
Yes I am a spirited lioness and at times I love to roar
About my independent spirit which is my central core
My major role in life is that of a mother and it’s obviously clear to me
I’m to be an example of a fulfilled spirit both independent and free!
~LION~
I am a lion and I am also proud loving and strong
For in my role of life I know precisely where I belong
As I roam the jungle I am generally misunderstood and feared
But fear is not the reason for which I was born and reared!
I was born to lead and as I lead I father, feed and protect my pride.
I will fight to the death to do this, and I take this responsibility in my stride
I am not destined to live or teach codependence in any shape or form
I am destined to guide my offspring to the reason they were born
My offspring can depend that the instinctive guidance exemplified by me
Will introduce them to their feline spirit which is independent proud and free
~LION'S SONG~
I am a lion and I am well recognised in the jungle as king
And in this royal role I will take a second now to sing
To the mass of humans who call themselves the wisest ones of all
For from this position of wisdom I feel they are about to take a fall!
They think they know much more than animals, birds, plants or trees
But I’m here to sing that they actually know far less than all of these
Animals, birds, plants and trees don’t hold their offspring to them fearfully
Instead they encourage them to be spirited fully independent and free
One can never fully become a whole empowered self
While living in the restraints and shadows of somebody else!
Now I may only be a lion and seen as an animal not to have a brain
But how I’m seen I care not as I sing this loud honest refrain!
Each and every living species has a specific God given role
Anyone who infringes on that stops another from being whole
Now as a lion in the jungle I am hunted and face death every day
So I couldn’t hesitate one minute longer to finally have my say
The spirit of humanity is suffocating and crying out a desperate plea
It’s begging for a chance to once more connect to life and in its authenticity fly free!
