There’s music in the land; its melody keeps me whole
It orchestrates a symphony over which I have no control
But as I slow my thoughts allowing our energies to knit
I realize in a flash just how perfectly together as one we fit!
Automatically I step into the rhythm of the heartbeat of Mother Earth
Suddenly I understand our connection and its immense value and worth
For I am nothing without her and she cries out to me in a wounded plea
Please don’t ignore me for without your love and attention where will YOU be
So many humans now unwittingly abuse me or take me for granted
I have to wonder why upon me so many life forms have been planted!
Repeatedly I hear Mother Earth cry out to me in songs of sorrow and disdain
When will man start the healing and set he and me free from struggle and pain?
When will life be in perfect accord the way it was originally designed to always be
When from the need for greed will man find courage to completely break free?
Doesn’t man know that I have the ability to supply all his needs and more?
Why hasn’t he realized that by taking from me without giving it’s himself who is poor?
It’s time to remind the world, Mother Earth sings to me
Of the law of gratitude so that once more prosperous humanity can be
And live life in a world unified in balance and perfect harmony!
Mother Earth makes it clear that in my love for her I am not isolated or alone
There are others she sings to me who also love her and embrace her as their home
But unfortunately our numbers are in the vast minority
This must be reversed to become the vast majority!
The time has come for man to seriously take heed
And honestly assess what he sincerely recognizes as need
There is nothing man needs that life does not supply
If on the Source of Life in faith and trust we each fully rely
Man lost his faith and tried to control the flow of life
